турнир-The Shirt 2010
Björn Heidenstrom, an ex Norwegian Footballer is cycling from Oslo to Cape Town in aid of International refugees, in association with the Norwegian refugee council (www.nrc.no) (Theshirt2010.net). He will be passing through Marbella from 21st to 28th November and he will be in Gibrltar on the 30th. We are holding a fund raising golf tournament for him at the Marbella Golf and Country club on Friday 27th November. Björn is asking people to send a football shirt as he will stitch them together to form the worlds largest shirt and use it as a giant shirt wave at the 2010 World Cup.
Participants and sponsors of “The Shirt 2010” Golf Tournament held at Marbella Golf and Country Club on Friday 27th November 2009, helped to raise much needed funds for Bjørn to support him in his long journey to South Africa.

Marina Robertson, Director of DSP Exclusive (A.K.A. Del Sol Packaged) interviewed by Spanish National TV (Antenna 3)
The Del Sol Packaged team in collaboration with Marbella municipality, Spanish and foreign businesses, created a platform that would help Bjørn to bring even more attention to his cause throughout the world with extensive coverage by local, national and international media; Antena 3, Talk Radio Europe, KustRadion, Svenska Magasinet, GH Productions, MK Espana, Linda Magazine, Tout Magazine all attended the event.
The glorious sunshine contributed to a quality golf day and a wonderful buffet lunch prepared by the club restaurant. The T-shirt handover ceremony in aid of the project “The Shirt 2010” was opened by the Director of foreign branches of Unicaja, followed by the Director of Youth Department from Marbella Municipality (Marbella FC), Rensen Management, Blue Sky Super Car Hire, Ludmila Fowler, Tahitian Noni, Sanyres, Advent communications, and not to forget the smallest t-shirts from the children of the Del Sol Packaged Directors and biggest fans of Bjorn.
The prize presentation showed that the outstanding sponsorship support provided not only financial support but also multitude of prizes such allowing every single participant to receive at least one momento of the occasion.
“This is the best day of my journey so far, even if I do admit to cycling better than I play golf!” Bjorn laughs, “But above all this event has raised a great deal of awareness throughout Spain for the refugees and I personally thank all the participants for their support”
From the Costa del Sol, Bjorn then travels North to Barcelona to meet with FC Barcelona and then hitches a ride on a container ship to Italy. He then continues through Europe before entering Africa to visit the numerous refugee camps on the continent. You can follow Bjorn on his website www.theshirt2010.net .
